Many of our clients ask us this question and we try and make it as clear as possible from the start of every persons PPI claim. Banks and other creditors such as MBNA, Blackhorse and many more legally have 8-12 weeks to deal with all the claims that are lodged for a PPI complaint.
This means that they have to legally answer the claim within that designated time frame for every single complaint lodged, if they fail to do so we legally as a claims management company can take your PPI claims to the Financial Ombudsman who is the middle man for all insurance and money related complaints, to ensure that all parties are acting fairly with regards to a complaint that has been taken against a particular company or person.
The Financial Ombudsman (FOS) can take a longer amount of time and this is often why we think that creditors allow the claims to run over their legal required allocated time frame, as they know that it will take an increased amount of time when taking it to the Financial Ombudsman (FOS) and they will not have to pay out on the claim if it takes this long.
Often our clients who’s PPI Claims take more than the 8-12 weeks allocated to them get very frustrated with the whole process, but please be assured that we work our hardest to make sure that your PPI claim is upheld and you receive the full and maximum amount of compensation for each of your claims against your different creditors.
Please note that we do not get paid until you do so therefore we try and get the PPI Claim settled as soon as possible for you within the 8-12 week time frame that they legally have.
